Theos Amneos 2008-07-03 . chapter 1:P Well you certainly know how to keep my interest. Very nice Shirley-centric fic; it was quite impressive how far you managed to get with just 'deductive reasoning'. I agree that Shirley's a pretty bright girl (she's still in a Student Council after all, eccentricities aside), so I very much hope she'll have taken the time to think about some of the things you've mentioned in the actual show itself.
Here are three minor nitpicks, though. First of all, Shirley's father was actually a civilian, not a soldier. He was one of the people who didn't properly evacuate, and thus got caught in the landslide. Second, on the extent of Shirley's prejudice against the Japanese: seeing as Shirley was the first person at Ashford besides Lelouch to try to befriend Suzaku, she seems quite open to me. That attitude doesn't necessarily contradict with what you have here, but I thought I'd bring it up nonetheless. As for the third nitpick, I found the statement that 'Lelouch had the power to make anyone obey him' a bit of a jump, as Shirley's single experience with Lelouch's geass seems like too little to make that deduction. |
