After so long, I've finally found time to review this amazing, beautiful, touching and hot story about my favorite yaoi couple.
Actually, I started reading it when it was only a 2 chapter story, but I kept reading it until it (unfortunately) ended.

Touga is my favorite character and I never expected anyone ever managing to put him into character THAT well. Awesome work, girl! ^_^

My fave chapter would be... 3 and 5. So touching, so pretty...
There was only one thing that bothered me, though. Touga Yagari would never EVER pity his own self! The fact that he has one eye doesn't mean he's emo! But, even this little thing created a remarkable chapter. Especially the title "Look At Me"... It really moves me to think of how much Kaien cares for his friend, ex-partner and lover...

I bow to a talent far greater than any other.

I NEED MORE KAIN/TOUGA! ESPECIALLY FROM YOU! *cries*

The whole story is one thing...but the ending? The ending is a masterpiece in itself.

I LOVED how you included Yuuki and Zero in this. They are an important part of Kaien's world and you made sure that you do not leave them out. I hail you for that and for how utterly amazing this chapter turned out to be.

Yes, you are right; this pairing doesn't get much attention, and I don't know why really, maybe it is because those two are not the main characters? But, they are, and no one can deny it, entertaining and adorable.

I do not agree that they are unlikely, really. You know, when I watched VK, and being the fan-girl that I am, when I first saw Touga and Kaien interact, I thought 'Those two make such an amazing couple'. And when I asked a friend of mine in Jerusalem to watch the show, he did and the next day, he called me up, IN CLASS! (For god's sake...I never hear the end of it from my teacher) to screech: I WANT YOU TO START WRITING VK AND WRITE ME A TOUGA/KAIEN FIC!

Oh well...

Once again, and I will never ever get tired of saying it, this fiction is a wonderful display of talent. I hail you for how it came out and for how pleasing it was to read. You've captured the characters personalities perfectly and at the same time you were convincing. The enjoyment factor throughout the whole fiction was maintained and...I really cannot describe to you how much I loved reading this.

Good job once more.

And yeah, I know that there are only 4 fictions for this pairing...I already read the one-shot you wrote, the other fictions, will have to wait for tonight or tomorrow, since I have 7 million fictions in progress and all have to be updated in these holidays lolz.

Friends and lovers...how right does that sound! I liked that line the most out of this chapter. And...of course...the part where that perverted towel falls off. I think the towel was a yaoi fan-girl. What a lucky girl she is to get wrapped around Kaien's waist when he's...like that.

What am I rambling on about?

The awkwardness is the hardest thing to write, I would know ::shudders:: but, again, you've done a beautiful, beautiful job about it.

This pairing really is enjoyable to read. You knwo, I feel it's got it all; angst, humor, romance, friendship...Usually, pairings like with Zero and Kaname or Zero and Yuuki or Kaname and Yuuki, although all of those are wonderful, wonderful as well, sometimes, some thing or the other is lacking...you cannot write it. But in this pairing, I don't know...maybe it is just that this story is so amazingly written that I am thinking that way? Who knows.

Me have read the one-shot, but I'll review that later when I finish up with Brief Reflections. You really, really deserve it for the awesome job you've done here and in that one-shot as well. ::nods::

My goodness, the way Touga woke up and was thinking that he was with a she who looked exactly like Kaien. I was laughing so hard while reading that. Poor thing...he had a nasty surprise...

Not very nasty actually. Not even near nasty, what am I saying?

::giggles once more..:: The part where they're both sitting at the kitchen table, flushed..that was really amazing. Hehehehe.

I kinda felt...irritated though when Touga went: "did you use a condom?" wtf? So unromantic. But then again, that is the whole point, Touga is 'expected' to act that way. And jeez, Kaien really has the patience of a saint that he did not slap Touga for being so...words fail me.

I am running out of things to say, and I am repeating myself...You really did a wonderful job, especially on this chapter, because that reaction...the morning after, as you named the chapter, is always something written in a hasty and...not-nice way. But this...this is what I call talent, really.

I loved the way you wrote that scene. I know, I know, I am boring, I keep repeating the same thing, but seriously, this is one of the best...what do we say...starts for a lemon scene (or a fade-out scene like it is the case in this chappy) I have read.

Those ladies you spoke of, the ones Kaien and Touga forgot about...well, they're dumb, to have such beauties with them but to not manage to keep a hold on them. If I had someone like Touga dating me, I'd make sure to glue myself with Super Glue to his arm all the time.

Anyway, another thing I loved...ADORED! was the part where Kaien kisses Touga's injury ::sobs:: My goodness, that was just..amazing. ::cries again...::

The end part was funny. Well, okay not funny, but I enjoyed reading it. To be honest, the end parts and the start parts of the chapters are always something that I felt good about reading, in this fic at least. You always, ALWAYS, manage to set the right mood for the chapter with those parts. ::happy!::

I think...the most attractive thing about anime characters, in general (please leave Kaien out of this for a bit, please?) is their hair. ::swoons! Wakes up several minutes later:: Touga's hair is awesomeness, although there is no such word. But honestly, this chapter was...AWESOMENESS!

I am not making sense. Sorry about that.

You know..the thing I liked the most about this fic was that...you merged the flashbacks/memories with the present time or whatever, in such a beautifully organized and consistent way..You have really done a great job paying attention to the detail of when each flashback takes place and gave a really good reason as to why exactly the characters are remembering such things and all.

That scene...between Touga and Yuuki..I don't know what to say. A real display of talent, sweetie, because..I dunno, but I don't think that was easy to write and 'get it right'. I don't know if Touga really did meet Yuuki before that time at the Academy, but if he did, then I think that something like that must have happened.

I found the last part really amusing..The girl's mother MUST have freaked out.

When I watched that part in the show I went: "Aw, that was so adorable of Touga, wasn't it?"

How very like Kaien to start cleaning/tidying the bed when he sees it messy. I swear, I am reminded of myself sometimes...I hate unmade beds. Once, one of my friends, I had gone over to her place to give her something and she put me (as though I am a kitty or something...::grumbles:: ) and I started cleaning her room for her, "You are crazy..."

I'm not crazy! ::turns to cry in Kaname's chest...where did Kaname come from?::

I wish I was that nurse that Kaien charmed to give out Touga's medical records and address..

That slap was...it took me by surprise, really. But then again, Kaien can be really persuasive when he wants. And I think that that includes slapping Touga to get him to show him his face. But I really, really LOVED the way you described the lack of all those emotions in Kaien's eyes. I really, really loved reading that. And I guess that when Kaien did see Touga's injury for the first time (in the manga/show) I think that that is the correct way it happened.

Even if they dump Kaien in a pool of mud, dressed him like a beggar, ruffled his hair using means such as Fan-Girls...I'd still see him as immensely sexy! ::BIG SIGH!:: I want one...I want one to! How come Touga has one? Me wants one too!

The little scene with Touga smoking made me laugh. Some people are just...insensitive? Well, Touga is not like that ::dreamy::. But it is something you would expect him to do ::nods:: AND WHOT! I loved that little Hurt/Comfort scene ::cries!::

I think that this chapter is what...makes one get comfortable with the pairing. I am already comfortable with it, trust me, but seeing this little snippet of their relationship really makes you go: 'aw, those two are so snogging behind the scenes.'

I enjoyed that part where Kaien goes: You caused a burn. That was hilarious.

Anyway, your starting in this fic is...amazing, and that would be an understatement. Really, really, it is perfect and I couldn't wait to get to the next chapters. I liked how you wrote Touga and Kaien. Touga is so...well...Touga-like ::articulate, aren't I? >.< :: and Kaien ::insert super fan girl squeal!:: I don't know if he really is like that, but I loved how you wrote his character here.
