Aw thats such a heartfelt story, well done. :)

You know, after that first night Gaara only seems to have nightmares when Kankuro isn't there. Perhaps he'll have some good dreams soon too. I liked how he traced Kankuro's face and talked about the mask. These brothers have a very special bond. They fit together so well.

I remember the story “Dances with Shinobi.” What happened to it? Even if you don't write more I'd like to see it posted again. There were some great scenes between the siblings.

Hi, I was thinking about this story earlier, so I thought I would go and reread it again. Imagine my suprise when it has two more chapters!! I really enjoyed the whole, "You are mine so I won't leave," stuff going on. I also loved Temari's explination to Kankuro. Great story still!

lovely. i always felt as sorry for yashamaru as i did for gaara of course. just one of those situations where there could be no winner. after all, he tried. but you can't force someone to love, na? but people rarely have sympathy for that kinda grief.

nice, as always. just one thing though; when temari was comparing two different types of people, emotional and analytical; it's just it's very possible to be both. i know those who are one or the other, and it's an obvious deficiency. temari doesnt' seem to have it. she managed to figure out Gaara's feelings before kankuro did, even though he's the "emotinally intuitive" one, and she's not so alike; gaara's situation is unique, after all. IQ and EQ are seperate, but hardly mutually exclusive. sometimes it's just a matter of understanding human nature and how other people thing.
and it would probably help if someone verbally expressed these things to Gaara. cuz otherwise it could take a LOT of time for him to get it. unneeded anxiety, poor thing.

omg this a long chapter, but this is a good frigin story

that was a good story that really brought out the relationship of the sand siblings it was so good it made me cry and that takes a lot from a story to make me do. although it did seem sorta like an incest story with less sex.

aw kawaii, now the roles have reversed and Gaara is looking after Kankurou. This was a really great story I love the way you described all their emotions and made it believeable (sp?), keep up the good work!! :)

I bawled my eyes out... I lost count how many times. You're a brilliant writer. I was hooked within the first couple of paragraphs of the first chapter. :) Amazing job.

I love this last chapter. It was sweet how Gaara took care of Kankuro and how his actions mirrored his older brother's. I like how you showed that Kankuro is important to Gaara and does make a difference in his life. He's become his best friend and confidant. It's also nice to see how much Gaara wants this bond and how special it is to him.

The conversation about Yashamaru was wonderful. I've always wondered how much Kankuro knew about his uncle's death in the anime/manga and how that memory might still affect Gaara. The pain wouldn't go away easily even after such a long period of time. At least Kankuro's explanation of their mother and uncle's feelings may have given him a different perspective on the whole thing. I’m glad he tried to get past the experience by telling his brother what happened and about the nightmares and his fear of being abandoned again.

I like that all through the story, you've shown examples of how Kankuro (and Temari) understands Gaara. Naruto might know the pain he went through in being Shukaku's host, but there are many things his older siblings should have a much better grasp of simply because they have spent a lot more time around him. They are part of the same village and part of the same family. For example, how Kankuro noticed the little nuances in Gaara's tone of voice in the first chapter and how Temari later guessed his fears correctly.

I also enjoyed how you've shown both brothers to be very kind and caring deep down despite Kankuro's attitude and Gaara's very controlled speech and mannerisms. I loved how Gaara noticed the changes in his brother's voice and wanted to get beyond Kankuro's mask too. It's a unique approach as we usually see Kankuro trying to reach out to him and get past his defenses. The speech about not wanting to see his brother's performance was very nice, and two of the best moments were when he told Kankuro that he admires him for who he is and when Kankuro told Gaara that he's proud of him.

Anyway, this chapter was simply beautiful. I'm just sorry to see it end. If you decide to add on more later, I'll definitely read it.

Great ending. Gaara taking care of Kankuro is always cute. Great story.

Yay! I liked the ending, and my favorite part was the last sentence, "dying can actually turn out to be a good thing."

This is my favorite chapter yet. I think it might even be my favorite story yet. It's nice to see Gaara learning from his older brother. Hopefully Kankuro's immune system will go back to normal after he's fully recovered from being poisoned. Otherwise, every time Gaara or Temari get sick... But anyway, I'm just sorry to see this end. These two are so sweet together. They're both very vulnerable in their own way. I wish we could see more bonding moments like this in the manga or anime.

You know what sucks? Every time you come up with another great chapter or story, you make it very hard for me to write a perfect review for it because there's just no putting my greatfulness into words then what I've already said! And I'm sure it's gonna sound chesesy on your part to read the same thing over and over again. I SO SORRY! I WISH I COULD PRAISE YOU BETTER!! T_T

I guess I CAN start by saying that this chapter was wonderful (like I havn't said that before).

I love how you showed Gaara taking on the caring brother role when Kankuro was sick (I belive I told you this in your Reaching Out to You fic).

I loved how Gaara tried to get Kankuro to be comfortable around him (I'm sure you'll be getting alot of that).

And last but not least I loved how Gaara found his death to be a positive thing in regards to getting closer to his siblings. Now THAT is something you haven't already heard from me!

I will be patiantly waiting for your fics (I KNOW you've heard THAT chesesey line from me already)
