Reviews for Olórë Nolofinwëo

*spoilers*

I dare say this is the best chapter yet! I loved the perceived betrayal on the part of fantasy Feanor and then just when Fingolgin is about to make amends and confess his great love for his half -rother, there is a reality check and Fingolfin is slapped in the face with the horrible words of real life Feanor and ultimately betrayed by his brother. VERY VERY WELL DONE! BRAVO!

*cries* I knew it was too good to be true! There go all my hopes for a happy ending! :'( But it was still a great chapter, with Fingolfin recognizing Feanor even in spite of the enchanted cloak. Love is a really powerful thing! Great story all in all! I hope to read more from you!

Hugs,

I know the story has nothing to do with them and very little if anything in common with them however this story starting at about chapter 3 reminds me of "Margaritavile" by Jimmy Buffet, It's five o'clock somewhere" and "pop a top again" by Allan Jackson and for some strange reason I keep half expecting to the hooded stranger eventually ends up running Valnor's equiviant of a bar.

Another good chapter. I wonder what will happen when he meets this stranger will he realize who he is and if this is just a dream as you say rather than a peek into an alternante time line, will things Nolofinwe is dealing with like the fact that he is stranded on helcarxe spill over into the dream?

Ooh... excellent chapter! I love the intrigue in this... and I hope Feanor accepts Fingolfin's invitation, and that all goes well if he does! Great work!

Interesting use of messed up work to hide his trail. The stranger is cunning. Teh exchnage in this chap[ter between teh craftsman adn his sona dn the king was intersting. I look forward to more!

I like your style. You say so little but it is speaking volumes. And who will he cut himself off from next? Like his amger, his loathing is also consuming him.
Elwing-Evenstar 9/11/08 . chapter 5
Wow... what a great chapter! I love the mystery and intrigue that Feanor is creating among the elves. I wonder if anyone will find out who he is? Please update soon!

Very interesting. Some comments: fiery speeches are easier to give in favor of doing something spectacular, rather than in favor of being reasonable. I think this is part of why things played out as they did. It is interesting to contemplate what might have happened if Finarfin had been the one with the silver tongue. It looks from what you said that Feanor has given up on achieving his oath. I would have expected him to continue trying even if he shifted his tactics. Something along the lines of trying to steal a single teleri ship by stealth and slipping away and it with his sons. He seemed obsessed to me, and I don't think anything short of his own death would have stopped him.

I feel like this is a sketch that still needs to be fleshed out rather than a story. Would you consider going back and reworking it?
Elwing-Evenstar 7/13/08 . chapter 3
This is a beautiful story! If only things had turned out this way in the first place. I look forward to reading more!

Interesting exploration of what might have been. I wonder where Feanor went and why. Curious to read more!

Nice what if dream. It would have been good for the Noldor if that had indeed happened, but bad for Middle-earth in end. It's nice to see someone treat Finarfin with respect :-)
