Your writing is fantastic. And the descriptions you used to describe the characters, setting and action really made the story come to life. You also characterized Ichigo and Rukia well.

I'm so close to crying now. This was just..amazing, really. It's absolutely stunning, and I just loved every single line in this. From the beginning you had my undivided attention because omgosh they were so achingly THEMSELVES -- ♥ like ooh she's insulting him like usual, yep he's cursing at her, aha and there she goes to fight a Hollow by herself because she's independent (aka awesome) like that; what can possibly go wrong?

Then, cue the angst! After of course you described their relationship so perfectly, and omg Rukia's denial of her love for Ichigo?! Really I love how you wrote her I swear once more..perfectly (I need a bigger vocab, honestly xD). I'm jealous.

[“I can’t leave, I can’t… I mean…” she hiccupped slightly. “Idon’tloveyouIdon’tloveyouIdon’tloveyou. So I can't just leave!” ] -- You tore my heart asunder, girl. ;; It's just so so, so tragic; the last lines too, wow are you trying to kill me with grief? Ensure I drown in my own tears? Because this whole oneshot is making my eyes burn, the melancholy so heavy it clogs up my throat and no. Ooh, I'm crying. I'm crying.

I loved it. ;_; It was without a doubt, beautiful!♥♥

T_T IchiRuki at it's finest. Tough, smart-assy and a little bit obnoxious, and, above everything else, absolutely right and perfect and true. Oh my gosh you captured everything that I love about this ship and it was a pleasure to read. Very, very sad and angsty of course, but ultimately beautiful. I still think the image of Ichigo, big strong muscular Ichigo, cradling feisty and headstrong and very fragile Rukia in his arms is the most romantic thing ever, and so it made me happy to see that in this fic. XD Anyway this fic is marvelous!

Rukia's crying really hit me hard. And...
"And all of a sudden there were warm arms bundling her up and lifting her away from the cement (when had she ended up on her knees?) and a rough voice demanding to know what’s going on, why’s she crying, and who exactly to beat the shit out of."
Wow...this made me cry. It really tugged on my heart strings a little too hard.
"In a different universe, it might even have seemed romantic.
In this one, it was only tragic."
THAT really made me cry. Very moving line.
Just know it made me cry. And...wow. I'm going to have to stop and read the sequel now...gosh.

Very sad, but very well-written. As much as I love happy endings, I think the way that you ended it was even better. It was so bittersweet -- Ichigo and Rukia finally admit their feelings to each other, but they know they are to be separated soon. So poignant.
