Cyberwicca19 2009-06-18 . chapter 4Your writing is okay and there are a few gems. You did well with Alfred's dialogue for one thing. But nothing else really stands out as promising. The premise of the story is good, but Lisa's stalwart refusal to believe in Batman gets annoying by the fourth chapter. Add to that the fact that she really comes across as the sort of hard case teacher everyone hates, and it's hard to sympathize with her.
You also have a lot of typos and awkward sentences. For example:
"The signal blinked off of the clouds at about the same time the door to the office burst open and a greasy looking camera man with arms too long for his body." "They stumbled into the office and nearly crashed into a desk that they eventually found chairs to and sat down."
I had to re-read that section to figure out what was going on. I just couldn't picture what was happening. I would suggest finding a Beta reader.
The riddle was far too simple, and there's no way it would have taken Batman that long to solve it. |
Nocturnal Rose 2009-01-04 . chapter 9Amamzing please continue!! Are anna and bruce a couple? |
Simply Charlie 2008-12-31 . chapter 9Stumbled upon this lovely story today.
I love it.
Keep up the good work, please!

CrazyGunFire 2008-12-19 . chapter 9Very exciting but I was a bit confused. It has been a while so i wasn't too sure of what was going on because it's been a while but i liked it none the less. |
Vanafindiel 2008-12-18 . chapter 9The Riddle was very obvious.
"Where the books are thick"
My first thought was library, but I was thinking of an older one.
"And young eyes watch the clock go 'tick'."
Here I thought public library, but with the eyes watching the clock meant there was a time frame here. So I came to a school media/library center. This fact was proven true in the next stanza when the the words "bus" and "late" were used in the same sentence.
It's difficult to write a hard riddle, especially while trying to make it rhyme. Kuddos for the effort! |
 Freebooter 4Ever 2008-12-18 . chapter 9okay, you're story has me hooked. :D Great cliffhanger! I can't wait to read more and I hope you'll update soon! |
Freebooter 4Ever 2008-12-18 . chapter 8so who is this Anna and what is her story? :D I'm curious... |
Freebooter 4Ever 2008-12-18 . chapter 7'he's fantastically hard to shop for anyway" great line! I love Alfred and you captured his sense of humor perfectly right there. :D
Anyway, nice chapter. I'm a little confused as to the time setting of this story. I'm guessing it's a while after Dark Knight and Bruce has moved on from Rachel. I totally thought Anna was Rachel until he introduced her. |
Freebooter 4Ever 2008-12-18 . chapter 6Sounds like the Riddler's escaped from the asylum huh? :D That should add some extra excitement to the story soon. |
Freebooter 4Ever 2008-12-18 . chapter 5Jules and Lisa's battle on the stairs was pretty funny. I do appreciate how Gordon is leading these two on a sort of wild goose chase. :D Batman allowing Gordon to know he recognized Lisa was a bit unexpected.
Great chapter! |
Freebooter 4Ever 2008-12-18 . chapter 4Lisa got permission to meet Batman way too early. I don't think Gordon would just let her up on the roof of the MCU building that easily.
Otherwise very well written chapter. |
Freebooter 4Ever 2008-12-18 . chapter 3hm..so she hasn't seen him yet? But he saved her? A little predictable...but still interesting. |
Freebooter 4Ever 2008-12-18 . chapter 2Bruce Wayne giving a speech at a high school was hilarious and extremely cute! :D I'm really enjoying your story. I like Lisa's spunk. |
Freebooter 4Ever 2008-12-18 . chapter 1Very interesting! Your story is really well written. I like Lisa's character so far and the premise sounds promising...I'll keep reading. :D |
kaitlynvoncat 2008-12-17 . chapter 9It was a good chapter. :3 The riddle was awesome too, so kudos to your sister. ^^ The only thing that kind of bothered me was how difficult of a time Bruce was having figuring out the riddle and where he was suppose to be. Batman is suppose to be a master detective. Basically a genius, but he can't figure out a riddle right away when I did? x.x; |
