I'm actually reviewing for once ^^ I haven't in at least six months, I think...

But... here we go:

Usually I don't read FanFiction that takes place in Tokyo or Japan in general. I've been there and most people who write FanFiction taking place in Japan haven't and... it's just fucking annoying to read something that's so far far away from the real thing. I love Tokyo and I'll go back someday. After all my best friend will be going back someday because she's born there, raised there, her heart belongs there. She won't be able not to go back (Not just vacation but living there permanently).
Anyway, my point is that you guy manage to make things real. Like in my head. When I was there I stayed in Waseda, only a ten minute walk from Waseda University.
Same thing with Japanese. I won't claim to be able to actually speak Japanese but I've been taking courses for two years and that's enough to see when people randomly insert "kawaii" or "otouto" or whatever in their English writing... And I usually don't read something that has these random (annoying) speckles of Japanese-wannbe-culture... But you guys either really know Japanese or you've spent quite some time to catch things like the difference in asking "Genki?" or "O-genki desu ka?".
I know, I'm like the worst snob ever when it comes to reading FanFiction and I also know that I've got quite the nerve to write reviews like this in a language that isn't even my own, but anyway. I fucking love your story. Your characters are alive. They've got a background and a meaning. It's as if your writing is three-dimensional.

So, you'd make me quite a happy person if you kept writing this.
And thanks for everything you wrote so far.

i really love the way both of u made a Sasunaru fic without thm being in love! and JUST being friends!
what i love the most in this chapter is the call between Deidara and Sasuke AND when Sasuke is having a conversation over a chocolate cake with Naruto, gosh it was so funny hahahaha...and in the last chapter it was great to imagine Sasuke in a Karaoke singing with naruto an anime opening hahaha...ma i just wish this fic wasn't discontinued, dead, etc, T^T it's so~ damn difficult to find Sasunaru friendship fics that are good...

love it! this fic is extremely entertaining to read. i must say i especially enjoyed naruto's brief conversation with his cake in this chapter :D...the drunken karaoke night was also pretty funny

the friendship is developing nicely, though i can't wait for narusasunaru goodness. i admit that sasuke does seem OOC at times (read: not angsty enough) but he fits with the general flow of the story.

i'm hoping for an update soon despite the fact that this hasn't been updated for about a year...

I was desperately looking for a Sasuke/Naruto friendship fic because they are so rare, but I do deeply regret finding this one. Your writing style is okay, but you are wasting your time on a terribly weak plot. It is really boring to read endless and useless conversations. Dialogue should have a purpose, but yours is only filled with cliches. Nothing is happening apart from Naruto running his hand through his hair all the time. I wish there was a bit of action. You spend paragraphs telling us how Sasuke is grumpy. And to be honest, I have never seen such a weird and poorly written Sasuke, he is really out of character. In fact, this is the worst Sasuke I have ever read. I understand this is AU, but there should be a little "something" about the characters that reminds us of the manga. Naruto and Sakura are awfully common: too kind and too good-looking and too easily hurt. As for Deidara, he is really a torture to read. I would also advise you to refrain from using this mix of English and Japanese, it gives me a headache and it really is pointless. Do you honestly see any purpose to it? Apart from irritating your readers I see none. And I am not even going to talk about the absurdity and randomness of the title which seems to have nothing to do with the "story" itself. All and all, you fail to grasp the realities of a male friendship. If that was your purpose anyway.
Really I hope this helps. Writing is so much more than describing characters biting their lips, staring at their toes or lifting their eyebrows.

I absolutely love this fan fiction. However, sometimes I find that Sasuke's character is not exactly like his one in canon. ^^" Apart from that, all the other characters were captured really well. The tone of this story is really nice and it's always good to find a fan fiction in the Sasuke and Naruto section with a friendship thing instead of love (although I am a huge SasuNaru shipper XD). It's really sad that this story is discontinued though, I would have loved to hear more from it.

This is definately one of the better fanfics out there in terms of character development and an evolving story line. It's a real shame this has been discontinued.

I'm having a hard time finding the words to convey what I like about it since there is so much to love.
I simply adore the tone of this piece. The way the narrative flows is really smooth and easy to follow. Also, the way you've integrated the Naruto world into a wonderfully colorful AU that gives the actual feel of culture and setting really puts me at ease as a reader and sets the basis for great character interaction. Naruto and Sasuke are full of amusement. Their pop-culture humour is really a great focus (I don't think I've ever seen anyone reference Citizen Kane before)and adds dimension to the modern aspect of your setting. Not to mention that Sasuke as a Star Wars fan cracks me up. Much love for that. Everyone else in your cast is also a riot. Some characters you seem to have a bit more trouble with but over all they are great. I would suggest bringing up absent cast more often in thoughts because it's easy to forget their involvement with the current writing. Also some of the time skips aren't as clear as they could have been. But these are small things in perspective.

Kudos to you and your partner for taking on this joint project. I've done that before and I know how difficult it can be to pull out an entire world that belongs to the two of you for the rest of us to enjoy. It's such a labor of love that can be both frustrating and incredibly fun all at the same time. I wish you all the luck in the world in seeing this great story to its end. I'll be watching and cheering you on.

haha this is a really cute story, full of quirks and flirting and drunken humor and idiosyncrasies. i absolutely love the way Tsunade and Jiraiya are portrayed, it's hilarious! and i like that Sakura and Naruto are so comfortable with each other. this is an awesome fic and i look forward to reading your next chapter!
