That is just wonderful. You've made Bellatrix deliciously evil, but not over the top unbelievably so. I like the idea that Rodolphus is so much younger than her and totally in her thrall.

It's rare to find good Bella/Roddy fic, but you've pulled this off well. I think my favourite thing is that you don't try and pass her off as not at all sadistic - she's evil and there are no excuses, which is something a lot of people struggle with when writing Bella. :D

Wow. This was amazing. One of the best oneshots about Bella I have read in a long time. I like how you show her power over Rodolphus and how she knew it. Power is e verything to Bella and you showed that quite well. Great job here.

love this line: They were all the same to her – eyes widened with fear (she never noticed their colours), pleading faces staring up at her (she never remembered their features), crying, begging her for mercy. (especially the parantheses)

What a cold, proud, Bellatrix-like story! It was absolutely perfect, with her harsh character shining through. Wonderful descriptions.

*gasp* I think you have written Bella perfectly for the first time! Her manipulations, her beauty and her cold unfeeling heart. Your descriptions and imagery are just beautiful in this piece and I just adore the way you have captured her personality even in the smallest things, like: "Contrary to the saying, they were not the window to Bella's soul - they were just part of the masquerade." and "or rather, she had become herself."

I'm also intrigued by their relationship in this story because a lot of people seemed almost scared of writing Bella/Roddy, and I think you have done a marvelous job!
