ElektrikRage 3/30/11 . chapter 1Dude... when are you going to update? I REALLY want to see Negi go up against a mindflayer! Or a nest of Kobolds... or anything else you can think of! |
Writer Nightpen 8/13/10 . chapter 1This is quite brilliant! Perhaps you should go with the rule of four (3.5's tenets), since any less will make Negi and friends seem a tad overpowered. Make the characters a DnD character sheet (with plenty leeway of course), gang them up, and choose a monster for the quartet to deal with. Alternately, you can go with a pair and then clash them with a slightly lower CR monster.
Other than that, I have little complaints. Keep this up! |
Kintatsu 8/22/09 . chapter 1Might I suggest the land shark next? It sounds fun.) |
Knightwolf1875 4/12/09 . chapter 1Very well done, and the next monster should be Dragonborn. Negi, Asune, and Setsuna should fight two dragonborn, one breaths fire another ice. |
Tikigod784 4/2/09 . chapter 1Dude I recently had to deal with a beholder in a campaign. Damn, those things are annoying. Definitely keep up with this. Don't know if I'm spelling this right, but how about NegixSetsuna against Ilythids? That or 3 fire giants riding 3 wyverns with a lesser devil in reserve against Setsuna and Asuna during the Magicus trip where they're off being bounty hunters. Obviously, you'll want to gauge the party's level according to the section in the manga carefully to make things interesting. Do you actually play the characters when you do this? If so, do you have a copy of a character sheet for Setsuna/Asuna/Kotarou or just basically any of the characters? |
Eternal Longing 7/12/08 . chapter 1Woo, Eye Tyrant! Monster bashing. Ku Fei giving Negi a good one(s). Yes, I'm talking about the slaps.
That was interesting and well worth my time. It was also interesting and therefore stole my time. No hard feelings though.
One thing I need to mention is my sudden kind of sudden intense dislike for the word baka when used in tandem with English. Yeah, I just wanted to use the word tandem, so forgive me for that. Anyways, Japanese words don't work well in fanfiction unless they're whole strings, not just a single word. It just feels... awkward, at best.
Well, moving on, and ending, I like the idea of a monster manual. Chamo's intro could have been more characteristic of him, but other than that (and the baka thing) I have no complaints.
Good writing, thank you for the story.-Eternal Longing |
Kurush Wuzurg 7/11/08 . chapter 1Interesting. That you use D&D monsters for Negi and crew is fascinating.
Just a question: Is it possible to submit monsters from D&D for you to use? I got a few on my mind. |
