Can't believe I missed this one the first time around. Great set-up of Jack's latest marital breakdown. Believable challenge by Liz and terrific insights into the various women in Jack's life.

Very nice job. I can totally see Jack doing something like this, to be honest. (Because he loves Claire...)

I am so glad you posted this! I think the third and forth sentences not only hook the reader, but they scream voljumes about the marriage and Jack's state of mind.

Having Liz act as Jack's mirror so to speak is perfect.

And the way for summarize his feelings about the laundry list of women... original and believable.

The last two sentences not only make you feel for Jack... they explain what makes him so compelling... to readers and that laundry list of women.

Nicely written! Yet, it's still sad. Jack may find something to love in each woman, but he's not really "In love" with them.
