I think I may have to list them, just in case I lose my ability to be coherent. 1. The use of tenses- Brilliant, the switching between two was really effective, and built momentum while allowing you to avoid being over-descriptive. 2. The description and language- Simple where it needed to be, with sharp complex sentences, that became far more effective because of your selectivity of words in sentences, e.g. "They stay like that a moment longer than they have to, breathing heavily, something unnameable passing between them."

Demenior 2008-07-15 ch 1,	abuseI really like the way you put this together. Very in character, very thought-provoking and very visual without too many details obscuring the point of the entire piece. And the different tenses make it a btter switch from 'explanations' about Archie, to his daily life. I really enjoyed this and I hope to read more from you. -Demenior

Not only was the AxA moment at the end so incredibly cute, but the metaphorical language talking about the different ways of drowning was amazing! I'd never thought about his fear like that before. -I hope you understand which part I'm talking about.. if not you can PM me:)-This was VERY Archie - that may add to the many reasons I enjoyed it :) "Like Atlanta's eyes."
