Dude, that was awesome and suspenseful and all kinds of greatness. You know when I was reading the bit about Prague I was thinking that you had to have read the Bartimaeus Trilogy. (I just finished reading it for the first time last week . . .) But no, seriously, I loved the interactions between characters and the double kidnappings and plot twists, although I as sure in the end the chip had been snuck back into 'Zuma instead of simply hidden in the zen garden. Vlad was conniving as ever and made a VERY appropriate bad guy, so that I was on the edge of my seat the entire time pretty much. Sometimes villains just aren't handled well, and are given too much power or not enough. I think you pulled him off just right. I also liked Toushiro, who was an awesome character, and I liked how he read Danny during the torture scene.

So thanks for writing this, I had a great time reading it! :-D Is there a sequel being planned? I know you are probably currently working on "Mythology pt 2" but I really enjoyed this story much better than the first Mythology and would be thrilled to see more.

This is one of THE BEST DP fanfictions on this site. Flow was great, development fantastic, characters powerful, and the story was absolutely thrilling till the very end.

We got some new friendships here, a tearful reunion there, and some Vladdy payback to tie it up in a nice green bow.

This fic is definitely one of my favorites. So realistic, yet so surreal at the same time.

He doesn't even give a think to her! After all she did? That's really mean, he doesn't deserve her <_<

And it was curious that any of them -specially Sam- didn't think that Vlad would be at the hospital. C'mon, it was obvious. It was good what happened with Katsumi, but in general, I feel the end like... loose. I love when you make Vlad speak of himself and show more of his personality, but Danny was frustrating in every way. After all have happened and still he can't truly know Vlad, practically Danny allow Vlad to drug him at the hospital, and then being coward toward his feelings for Sam -and vice versa- it's like the classic ending of the pictures when the villain didn't die but the film end up when his hand suddenly appears -rolling eyes. Do a fic when those two pass to the next level, please. Where they stop acting so childish or having a fight that close them or anything!!

The best part was is Vlad. Is wonderful but annoying at same time how he thinks he can have anything he wants to. How sure he’s that Danny is going to follow him at the end. You said that Vlad ruling the world is PP, and obviously just for a short time. How do you manage Vlad in that situation? What would do your Vlad after losing everything? Someday I wish you could do a fic after PP, or at least one when Vlad realize that he can’t have Danny for himself. And with someone giving to Sam and Danny a couple of slaps for being so idiots!

Well, was one of the best fics I ever read. I’m going to miss it. Hope you keep writing DP for long time :D

LOVED it. Especially the Bartimaeus tie-in things. Totally didn't expect that when I clicked on this story.
I also think it's cool you're a Pendragon fan. Two great, but sadly small, fandoms. :)
Great job doing Danny's POV, btw--you got him down exactly.

I can't believe that you managed to this whole thing so well and in first person no less. It's very hard to get that deeply into someones head (especially when they're a biy and you're not) but I think you pulled it off beautifully, even the almost makeout season on the boat which I would not have had the courage to try.

My favourite things were the minor characters, the starbucks girl, the London receptionist and the party boys. There was a lot of characterisation in a very few lines. That was important for Toushiro as at first he didn't seem to be more important than than the adverage hired tough guy in a story.

Danny getting bopped on the head at the docks during a date with the femme fatale... how classic film noir.

Your description of overshadowing during the bar brawl 'cutting off the soul' that was creepy and the best description of overshadowing I've read. No wonder Danny doesn't do that often after the first season.

Vlad. Holy mackerel Vlad! Brillient, manipulative, violent, practical, a touch tender and not quite the full shilling. All the many aspects of the Cheese-head personality. The only thing you missed (which actually hardly anybody on the site includes) is his odd food orientated swearing "Oh butter biscuts". Maybe it would have looked out of place on this tension filled story.

Two thing I do wonder about your Plasmius. If Danny hadn't come to Wisconson in Bitter Reunions how close would the fruit loop coome to being like Katsumi?

When he met the girl who told him that he was going to be mayor and rule the world did he not think about Macbeth? Those sort of prophesies never turn out well.

Why would anyone want to rule the world anyway? Talk about rotten jobs. You get blamed for everything and there's no days off.

Thank you for writing this Brillient story anyway. It had me utterly hooked from start to finish.
