I liked it, as Ryuuk and Raito are similar without being so, and I feel the same way you do about what may have been Ryuuk feeling, even though he -said- that it was only for boredom and lifespan, there is still the possibility that he had grown fond of his "partner in crime" over all these years... he was never truthful about anything, anyway, so why not about himself? It may or may not be so, as Ryuuk may be overly complicated or overly simple in his thinking pattern. Maybe both, who knows... ack I'll stop now, as as much as I love his twisted way of being, there is no enough information to really know anything beside his love for mayhem and apples...

I love it. Ryuk really does have an interesting relationship with Raito. Thanks for exploring it and providing us with a great story!

Due to the fact that I am a shameless Serria stalker at times,I found this little one shot in her favorites and decided to take a gander, haha. And wow! You absolutely blew my mind. This is such an excellent story; the best Ryuk character exploration I've ever seen. I absolutely adore the way you had him contemplating both the joys and sorrows of the human life... simultaneously scorning it and pining for it. I think you captured his strange and complicated relationship with Light just excellently, as well. I entirely agree that it's a fascinating thing to contemplate... how he could be so genuinely attached to Light and yet still remain entirely unaffected when he ends up being the one to kill him. I think mu favorite part of this fic is the bit at the end, about how there was nobody so flawed, wicked, incorruptible, and perfect all at once as Light. All in all, a brilliant and lovely job! Keep up the great writing.

I love the perspective you've given Ryuk in concerns to Light, and just about life in general. It's so similar to my own opinions on Ryuk. Wonderful job, and I hope you keep writing Death Note!

anyway, this is probably the most well-written DN fanfic I've read. Perfectly worded, deep and yet easy to understand, and very in-character. It's difficult to make Ryuk deep and still keep him in-character, but you did it perfectly. I tip my hat to you, sir.
