my dad pulled that too, when i was younger.
the sequence flows tightly, yet at a gentle pace, so i like. =D

Yes, I can hear the two teachers now, "you wouldn't believe what that idiot tried to do late one afternoon" and "you ought to see _my_ paperwork for those morons in administration, I ask you, when am I supposed to actually _teach" and 'Athletics! Waste of time, but do they ever listen to me?' (I'm married to a chemistry teacher, and I know a lot of them).

what a relief imagining this scene after the events in the Book of the Dead; you do give me hope, because your other stand alone chapter (No door) is positively frightening. so there is a happy ending with a baby for the Book of the Dead? thank goodness, now I can sleep at night. I love these one shots Especially when they are sweet), they give me a glimpse into their lives, for better or for worse.

So they do get a happy ending after all. It was sweet of her to get him a Slytherin balloon.

It's sweet, but it's a very American carousel. Maybe it's an import. Traditional British ones are all or nearly all horses, all of the same pattern, very stylised and covered in raised gold ribbons and leaves, with very occasionally a cockeral pulling a carriage for those who prefer to sit on a bench. Only little kiddie-sized ones that seat six-year-olds have exotics like elepahnts on them.
