Really interesting point of view. Using lots of references to scent and the insides of the dragon's mouth is very concreting and unique, really asserting the alien, animal-ness of the characters, yet you also manage to make the emotions the dragons feel very accessable to humans.

"gave them their forever" is an excellent phrase.

Favorite part of that whole story has to be the very last paragraph. All and all it is well written and I enjoyed it.
