Scarred Sword Heart 2007-10-05 ch 5,	abuseFunny as hell. Also, twisted and disturbing on multiple levels. Saitou's kid vs Higashidani Outa is brilliant. I hope Outa wallops the little jerk. Maybe Sano could teach him Futae no Kiwami. Sano stole his little brother's lunch. Yeah, seems like something he'd do. And yes, he would definitely eat soaked rice balls. Sano would probably eat just about anything as long as it didn't have mold growing on it.
Daughter of Chaos 2007-02-22 ch 20,	abuseWow. My dear sweet author, I realize you haven't updated this in ages, but you should know this story (this nostalgia for you ~_^) is simply breathtaking. Really. Most impressive is your firm grasp of YOUR perspective of the characters, which rides nice and neatly along with the canon perspective of the characters. (I only emphasize 'your' because, as you said in 'Our Sanosukes', we each come up with something of our own twist for them. I'm not complaining, I quite like your character take!) The characters continue throughout the story to behave as they should, be they in the form of character weaknesses or their strengths. For example, your Sano (eheh, I have a real weakness for him ^_^()) has the skills of a man who has traveled the world, and indeed a lot of that knowledge, but in classic rooster style he only shares with his friends the things he knows at his own discretion. That and the man's pride and confidence are positively attractive! Also, this is among a very rare number of stories that bring Sano home from his wanderings, involves a nice bit of romance, and still has a plot! You have no idea how that thrills me. And as for your plot, I do like this use for Sano, this deal cut with Saitoh (the gov't) to turn criminal in order to save Japan. It's something that has a very believable ring to it, as in something that could have been manga oriented. I realize your profile says these stories are on hold (indefinably?!?!) but I really hope someday the urge strikes you to keep going with this. A mean part of me wants to see Sano emotional angst continued! (He seems to have a real thing about not being free, I'm thinking a bit of prison time, voluntary or no might be slightly stressful to his personality... yeah...) I don't know as you have an interest in continuing or not, but if you find yourself in want of general Sano (RuroKen) conversation, or even ideas for how to push this story on, I'd be more than happy to just chat with an author of your caliber (Heh, maybe some skills could where off on this humble one, ne?) In any case, it does make me wish I'd discovered RuroKen sooner, as I would have had chance to really enjoy the works of yourself and your fellow Sano authors back when the prime of the stories was around...
Daughter of Chaos 2007-02-22 ch 17,	abuseHrm, I do apologize for not reviewing every chapter, but, I kind of got sucked in... (Sure, look at me try to make that up to you by shmoozing ;) ) Off topic. Oh dear stars in the heavens above, I was thrilled and excited to read this excellent recreation of a combat scene between Kenshin and Sano. It is a real challenge to learn how to write a fight scene, but to 'watch' these characters in action was a better display of battle detail than we even typically got out of Watsuki-san's wonderful Manga! Descriptions fascinate me, to see their damage inflicted and have described such things as the fight carrying them around the courtyard, to have Aoshi comment on never seeing to warriors so in tune with the other's actions... Just fantastic. That coupled with your intuitive view into Sano and Kenshin's individual mindsets made for a truly thrilling chapter and a far more satisfying fight between the two men than I had dared hoped for. And of course, it is always both classic and touching to have Kenshin catching his younger 'brother' and friend as he passes out at the end of the fight. I know this is still an old fic for you, but I'll say it here, you've got all the right bases covered and this reader at least, appreciates the work put into it. But, there are chapters awaiting me yet (at least a few before I run out.)

You've the characters down pat... and you've promised a Sano-centric fic! My only complaint is... that I handn't found this story sooner! (Which has more to do with my searching skills than anything you have power over, but still...)
