AlmostAlwaysConfused 11/12/12 . chapter 1I really liked it. |
FlyingLovegood123 11/10/12 . chapter 1Poor Martha, feeling overshadowed by Rose! But she really is brilliant. Thank you again! |
Dani Meows 7/30/10 . chapter 1Hello. I'm just letting you know that I've recced your work at a href" chromaticvision"chromaticvision/a on IJ. Thank you for creating a memorable work featuring a character of color. 3 Now that the required bit is out of the way onto a real review! I really love this story especially Martha and Sarah Jane's snark at the end... since neither of them saw nine and Rose interact and just seeing nine and Rose side by side without seeing them interact midlife crisis is the first thing that pops into mind. :-D |
WishfulThinkin21 7/17/10 . chapter 1To think about it, Chris is 8 years older than Shaun (Pete Tyler) :D |
Peregrinate 2/22/10 . chapter 1I liked it, especially Martha, the Doctor, and the "You're not Rose" as well as Martha's line about encountering other Doctors. Still, as an avid DoctorRose shipper, I'm a bit annoyed at the last lines. It's like you're insulting the two of them's friendship/Romance deal. :( |
ProfessorSpork 2/7/10 . chapter 1HAHAHAHA. Wonderful. God, I love companions. And you captured all of them perfectly in this little snapshot. |
PhoenixWytch 10/8/09 . chapter 1Cute. Thanks for writing. |
TardisIsTheOnlyWayToTravel 3/3/09 . chapter 1Martha shrugged. Then, the annoyance hit her. "That's just it," she said, "it wasn't him, him, but it was him, I know it was, because the only thing he said to me was 'You're not Rose'. Is this going to happen a lot? I walk up to different Doctors all across space and time and they'll say 'You're not Rose', like I haven't figured that out or something?" - Poor Martha. That's make an amusing fic, though... - "I don't think so - she's younger than she will be when I met her." Martha nodded appreciatively. "You certainly do the funny tenses well," she said. "Practice," answered Sarah Jane, proudly. - Ooh, I agree, nice use of tenses. English grammar gets complicated with all this timey-wimey business. |
The North Wyn 1/23/09 . chapter 1What a delightful story! It's very humorous, with just the right amount of angst. I like Martha not quite over the Doctor (and Sarah Jane, too). I like the inclusion of Luke, particularly his idolization of the 4th Doctor's scarf. I also like the idea that Sarah Jane and Martha kept in touch and got together occasionally. A few favorite lines: "You're not Rose," he observed bluntly. - Ouch! "Martha resisted the urge to scream, turned around, and walked out the door, closing it pointedly behind her. She headed on up the street - Sarah Jane was supposed to be meeting her for lunch, and Martha was excited to get to talk to someone who understood. She decided to pretend this hadn't happened." Hee hee. "Is this going to happen a lot? I walk up to different Doctors all across space and time and they'll say 'You're not Rose', like I haven't figured that out or something?" - This is rather sad, but I also the dry humor in it. Great job! |
Isis the Sphinx 8/5/08 . chapter 1*snerk* Oh, brilliant. Martha walking in on Nine. Wow. Keep writing! |
blvdgirl 8/3/08 . chapter 1I really don't know how you keep writing these gems with all the crazy challenges that you're being thrown. My only conclusion, other then the obvious fact that you do nothing else with your time than write fanfics, is that you're brilliant... Well done. This one is poignant and funny. I especially love Martha's line about walking up to the various Doctors only to be greeted with "You're not Rose." Great, 'Marsha Marsha Marsha' moment! I also love the thundercloud/sunbeam comparison you make at the end. |
just drifting 8/3/08 . chapter 1haha, i liked that. well done. |
x-EmilyTennant-x 7/18/08 . chapter 1That was quite good, to say the least. You used the quotes really well and I like it :) |
Star-of-Chaos 7/17/08 . chapter 1That was very cute :-) |
Micah 7/16/08 . chapter 1 I really liked that. You got the characters down very well. Was his scarf really 40 feet long? I mean I know it was long. It took me a second read to get the princess bride quote, but I loved it well done! |
