Oh my goodness! I've just read this story in the last 24 hours and... I adore it! Your writing is good, but that wasn't what kept me coming back to it. Rather, I found the spirit of LLM's characters in your writing. Meg reminded me so much of Rilla, Shirley, and Anne in turn that I couldn't help but smile. And Will! Anyway, it made my heart thrill (doesn't that sound LMM-ish?) to read a story that captured the essence of these dear characters.

well, war produces casualties. it really does. and we always seem to evade the truth. the letters contradict the diary entries. the officer tells a white lie and the soldier no lie at all...nothing but the blatant truth.

I love the way she decided to let him know that she loved him. Very fitting. I still worry for Matty, though, because the war in the Pacific is still going on, isn't it?

The rapid fire updates of this story in the past few weeks have been great! So glad to see that Meg and Will have found their way to each other. Will there be another installment in their adventures? I would love to see what the future holds for them after the war.
