Hmm, nice sweet, short tale. Although I'm not a fan, it's not like I dislike them together. As long as it's written well and entertains well, then I think the story is very good. The writing, though simple, suits the simple plot. Everything is in good, simple fun. The flow and balance of the story is very well contained.

This story actually reminds me of this Japanese web doujinshi I read about how Ema is coming back from work eating a bag of Snackoos and then treats the dog like how you wrote it. And she smiles at the end with Klavier "swooned".

The little statement about Ema giving Phoenix a huge smile reminds of the another web comic. ^^; I'm not accusing you or anything, but it seems familiar, that's all. Sweet, simple entertainment.
