I should have written this long ago, when I first read this story, when I first read a lot of your stories. I suppose it's inconsequential though, since I'm writing it now.
I love your writing. You capture these two so perfectly.
I especially love your Grindelwald. He seems to be just the perfect combination of tempermental, mad, and remorseful. The last scene of Grindelwald tossing the clippings is so sad and beautiful.

Ah... I don't think he was plotting his revenge against Dumbledore... and when he sent the letter asking Albus to come play chess w/ him it seriously reminded me of X-Men and Xavier coming to visit Magneto in prison and play chess. *grins*

Anyway, I really liked this! Very cool.

You're making me love Albus/Gellert. I can't believe that he's not on the list, when other, unimportant, characters are!

I liked the way you showed Gellert from a different perspective - it was fresh and original, which I think is the most important thing when you're writing.

You were also very realistic about the postwar environment. It was interesting to see the new generation coming of age (hope for the future!) and reflections on their elders (very imaginative inmates of Nurmenguard you've got there!).

You characterised Gellert very well. He has this notorious reputation in front of him, but underneath he's very, very human. And the end bit broke my heart. ♥

That was beautiful. At the start you captured the essence of young love - the treasuring of letters, the being "enraptured" by a "net of words"...

And then everything suddenly changed when Gellert had left and the guilt sank in.

Just tiny things here and there - I think instead of "steer"ing the stew I think you meant "stir"?

Wow, I really love it when you write these fics, cause this pair is awsome! This was so beautifully written, and very sad at the same time. I liked the fact that you set it in prison, it gave a really interesting feel to the story. And the newspaper articles was a good idea-is he plotting revenge, or feeling remorseful? You never really discover that, and it makes it all the more better! I know I always say this, but I hope you write some more with these characters involved( I know that I should have by now, and I am sorry that I haven't got round to it yet, especially as you gave me some great ideas) because it is such a pleasure to read!

This was very well written. I thought it was very sad, but it really captured their thoughts. I have to honestly say that Gellert's chapter was my favorite. Mostly because you got so much of his feelings across without ever going into his POV. The ending was especially good. I will definitely be adding this to my favorites!

Beautifully written. Very sad. I think you captured both the joy and the guilt of Albus very well. Aberforth was nicely written too, very in character.
