Really enjoyed the story, especially their last few lines! I do find it hard to believe he was able to resist the impulse to kiss her though, this is Tony Stark we're talking about here!

Great piece! :) I liked Tony and Pepper's POVs equally, although I have to say that Tony's piece has my vote for Best Line in the Whole Thing: "She knew not to whisper platitudes like "It's okay," because it certainly wasn't okay, and she was a terrible liar anyway, which was why he'd hired her. But she kissed his hair, which was new, and laid her cheek on top of his head, which was nice, and sleep tumbled him over like a tidal wave and took him down because he was safe here with her and always would be." My heart did a lil' dance at that line. Something about the rhythm and the placement just did it for me. Well done. Anyway, cool story and yes, your pen-name is still awesome.

Really good. Glad you put in the second one, but maybe you should have changed his view up a bit more from hers.

I LOVE this story. you touch on a theme I like so much...the dynamic between Pepper and Tony that makes me want to pant like a dog one moment and just melt fifteen seconds later. She is like the only person in the world other than Rhody who I can SEE Tony accepting physical comfort from without it being sexual...

Well at least in this particular instance. My theory in the movie is he pretty much took the joking approach from the moment he got off the plane because he KNEW if they let themselves start touching they were going to seriously blur their boundaries...

I love seeing this from both perspectives. Tony's vulnerability and all of his other emotions are just as poignant from both angles. You did a good job with their relationship. Excellent. Keep writing.

It's nice to see Tony and Pepper interacting in a non-sexual way, because I really can see something like that happening, and it's fresh and something that I haven't seen too much of. God that was so sweet , they should have had a scene like that in the movie, hopefully they'll throw us a bone in the sequel, although dumb ole Hollywood probably won't. Love it really.

Aww... there's nothing like some good ol' hurt/comfort fanfiction to start my day off right. What I enjoyed about this was the way it was written: quick, clean, without too much angsty wondering about whether this was the right thing to do.
