abuseOh, we just dropped my older sister off at college today. I'd finally managed to stop crying...and now I'm off again!

Wonderful, touching, beautiful are all words that describe this. It's great! I love how Susan comes through for a moment, but then she's gone again. Poor Ed. He justs wants his siblings with him!

abuseI really enjoyed that, it was a lovely look at the relations between the Pevensies especially when a life-changing event happens. The only flaw I can really think of is the reaction to Peter getting to Oxford. The Pevensies were fairly upper middle class, or middle class at least, and around the post-war time, it would have been quite expected that a clever young man would go to either Oxford or Cambridge, so I can't really see it raising Susan's status with her friends. Also Edmund thinking about the 'law program'- that seems rather Americanised, since in England Oxford is fairly renowned for its law degrees. Apart from that though, I really enjoyed it, and would like to see more.

abuseThis reminds me of all my friends who have gone away to college... you did a really good job capturing the emotion of the situation, and how poor Edmund felt. I liked the fact that there was tension between Edmund and Susan. I always imagined there would be, because I saw Edmund as the kind of person who accepted things as inevitable and didn't try to fight them, while Susan clung on to dreams that were hopeless. The fighting makes sense.

ANyway! YEs~ I liked this!

abuseAh, this is just lovely and all the better becuase it's the voice of experience writing. Sometimes letting go is the hardest thing imaginable, and after a lifetime together and guarding each other's backs, I don't blame Edmund for reacting the way he did. I'm with Ed - Peter needs to be watched constantly because the man is a magnet for trouble. The family dynamics were wonderful, especially the brief flare ups between Edmund and Susan and how she exploited the popularity Peter generated.

I love the end, too - there's no doubt in my mind that Edmund will follow his brother and three years will feel like an eternity of waiting! Bravo Zulu!

abuseWhat a nice, sweet story. You have made me feel greatly moved by Edmund's - and Lucy's - sadness because of Peter's departure. They are so close! And Susan could - if she were not growing apart, and you have depicted this painfully well.
A very good work, which I have enjoyed immensely. Certainly, three years cannot pass fast enough for Edmund, can't they?

abuseI really enjoyed this piece. It was evident how much thought and effort you put into writing it, yet it flowed easily. Very nice job.

abuseThis is absolutely beautiful, good my friend. You portrayed every last emotion wonderfully, from Edmund's anger at Susan for losing sight of what mattered, to his feelings of utter loss at Peter going away. Every last one was well placed, realistic, and hauntingly painful to share with the poor boy... well done.
You really drove home what each of the Pevensies meant to each other (or should have, if Su had been paying attention), and I liked that very much. The hope you gave, that Peter had finally moved on and decided to seize his life with both hands, and that Edmund was going to follow as soon as he was allowed, turned what could have been a very sad story into a quite elegant gem, finely balanced and bittersweet, yet uplifting in the end.
Violamom is right, it shows that this was written from the heart; you can practicaly feel it with every word, every thought. Very well done indeed.

abuseYou made me cry. This was a very well written and a moving piece. I think you wrote Edmund very well. And well, you made me cry. I especially liked the part about Susan. And Ed's anger towards her. And his silent aguish of Peter leaving. I also really liked the points about Peter drowning and stuff. They'll never let him forget will they?

abuseWonderful! The reactions of Susan, Edmund, and Lucy were perfect, especially Susan's lapse into the Gentle Queen as she bid her brother farewell. Edmund's comment to Susan about knowing a witch was chilling.

abuseThis is so beautiful and true. Been there, done that (dealt with Susan too) and gaw, yeah Ed, I know how you feel. And I know how Peter feels too. I think the best point in the story is how it ressonates with us readers and it really rings very true.

The other great points are the way you wrote Susan and everybody´s characterization and your amazing gift for language. Great work :)
