This was beautiful--I was happy to find some Buffy/Satsu goodness. I hope Joss relents and gives us more of them.

Another great story. Really liked the quote in the beginning, it's perfect for the story. You did a good job of capturing the grief and reponsibiliy Buffy feels. I was expecting Faith on the line, so that was a nice surprise! I like how you portrayed Satsu as having matured in her new role, and how she is more at Buffy's level. Can't wait to read more. :)

Awsome, so very awsome, and great in its pure tonal grief.

Beautiful, sweet, touching; all of those descriptions apply. The characters are as consistently human as in your other works. There's not much else to add except that it was a joy to read.

Two criticisms: 1. "needed the council of a watcher" should be counsel.

2. You have an emo streak a mile wide. :p
