'Sun-dog' rounds: projectiles that penetrate and set off a concentrated UV-laser burst inside

I've got to call shenanigans on that. I think the idea of 'UV rounds' started with Hellsing, but it's always been a stupid idea.

A compact UV laser would be, say, about the size of your hand (excluding power supply) and have an output in milliwatts. Pointing one at a vampire would get a response like "Ow, quit pointing that at me!" as a little dot on his skin starts smoking. And then he rips your face off ;-).

For the sake of argument you could imagine super-secret advanced battery and laser technology to give a decent power output in a form tough enough to stand the impact (a more difficult problem than the laser arc). Now why put it in a bullet? If UV light is enough to imitate sunlight then you just need a few suntanning lamps and every vampire in the room starts smoking.

I did not need another plot bunny rampaging around in my head, especially not one involving Walter Slovatski and Xander.

Oh ya and I'm liking the story so far, despite the idiotic "multiple kinds of vampires and practically nobody in either group had heard about the other" meme (nothing against your execution of that, actually done very well I just really dislike it).

I assume this is crossover with the series which I've never seen but so far the characters seem quite believable and interesting.

I'll keep reading after I figure what to do with this plot bunny you've inflicted on me.

One small quibble, you've got a line "Made them Chosen, not Called." Shouldn't that be "Made them Called, not Chosen", since they Called the baby Slayers?
