Very nice. As someone with a childhood that wasn't the best, and a dislike for the 4th (probably for the same reason) I really enjoyed this fic. Somehow having your new family there to make you feel safe makes a huge difference.

I really enjoyed this look at a paternal Gibbs dealing with a stubborn and difficult Tony. I loved the ending--sounds like the perfect place to watch fireworks. Now I want to see what happens on July 5th, though I suspect it won't be nearly as much fun for Tony!
BTW, I'm also very anxious for a sequel to "Or I'll Begin to Roam"--that was such an intiguing beginning to a story, I hate to see it disappear. Any chance you'll update that one?
