| Mandi96 2008-07-30 ch 1, | abuseThis was an amazing story. You are very perceptive and I feel that you captured Edmund's feelings well. |
| rolletti 2008-07-26 ch 1, | abuseThis sent chills up my spine then down to my fingertips. This is amazing writing. I love how you tied the ending together bringing tears to my eyes. Aw poor Susan now complete with her siblings. Oh dear, I just want to cry again just thinking about it. |
| Window2MySoul 2008-07-25 ch 1, | abuseWow that was so well written, sad but truthful and 'deep'. If that made sense. Great job! I can't wait to read another one of your 'challenge' storys |
| asinine 2008-07-25 ch 1, | abuseI love the quote, and the perspective, and that Susan was brought down to their level... and... oh, I can't even say how much I enjoy this. |
| ilysia 2008-07-24 ch 1, | abuseWow. I- wow. That was wonderful, for lack of other words. Forgive my incoherence, it's a bit late and your story has left me a bit, well, incoherent. The quote, the premise, the entire idea was brilliant from beginning to end. And such a good explanation for Peter's behavior at the beginning of the Prince Caspian movie. Bravo. -ilysia |
| diff-r-ent-1 2008-07-24 ch 1, | abusewow, poor edmund, he has to support his enitre family, poor guy, and poor susan, blood's never good when spilled. |
| Sedri 2008-07-23 ch 1, | abuseThat was very well done; gritty and real, and an angle on Susan and Edmund that I'd never before considered. Thank you! |
| Amira Tair 2008-07-23 ch 1, | abuseWow, this is a dark story, indeed. Although I don't like very much the way Peter has been changed in the film, I do find that this is an interesting and different view on his character I hadn't thought about, especially your interpretation of the reason why Susan abandoned Narnia. Good work. |
| Cirolane 2008-07-22 ch 1, | abuseWow, this was really really great. I'm amazed at your interpritation of the movie and why they acted like they did. This was just great. Wow. |
| miss nen yim 2008-07-21 ch 1, | abuseThis was very well written, and I do like the perspective. And thank goodness that we cannot fully know if this is or is not what soldiers and those involved in war experience. ☮ |
| Miniver 2008-07-21 ch 1, | abuseI admire your writing, and I certainly understand your thoughts about the transformation wrought by war. These thoughts have come to me often given present world events, though not worded as eloquently as the Lucan you quoted. Full disclosure: I've never accepted the movieverse view of Peter. As a perceptive writer on this site has said, the film's take on Peter is plausible, but it's such a far cry from what we expect in Narnia that it's hard to take. I can't believe that the Peter who was consecrated by Aslan would not retain that essence inside of him on whatever world he found himself. So, though I think you did a stunning job here, I hope in my heart of hearts that you will also one day write a Peter closer to the book...just a suggestion! |
| Valadan 2008-07-21 ch 1, | abuseOh, wow, this was wonderful! I feel you've captured so well the viewpoints of the four siblings, and the way you've tied it all together through Edmund's eyes is very poignant. Quite a deep story, as well, but beautiful. |
| xMidnight Muse 2008-07-21 ch 1, | abuseWow. Really, just wow. The way you described the blood lust and need for fighting was tastefully done, which is much appreciated. I especially like that the story came from Edmund's point of view - someone who easily understands both sides. I have to admit though, the best, and saddest, part in my opinion was Susan saying that she understood. After all of Edmund's hopes that she at least wouldn't be stained by blood, it was inevitable that she would have to fight. The rubbing of her hands was a nice touch which made it seem all that more realistic. Very well done, I liked it a lot :o) |
| bballgirl3022 2008-07-21 ch 1, | abusewhat is there to say about this story besides that it was extreamly wonderful great job |
| Bundibird 2008-07-21 ch 1, | abuse...Wow. That was good. I cant really think of much else to say (which is a landmark moment for me - trust me). It was really good. Seriously. Great job. :) I absolutely loved it. Great work. Love Bundi |
