I like Beast Boy's characterization here. It's really hard to get him right when he's being serious, and I thought you nailed it pretty well. I like that he's more perceptive than you'd think, given that it turns out he DOES know Raven's been watching him the entire time. His comments to the journal aren't over the top, aren't filled with too much despair, strike just the right balance, or so I think. I REALLY liked Beast Boy's disturbingly frank appreciation of how all the others would react. I don't know if he's right about it, but I believe he thinks he is, or at least that he thinks that it's what he needs to tell Raven without telling him. Layers... It's an interesting point that you made about how Raven dealt with Terra. It's something that isn't often explored, her relationship with the others. I'm a bit surprised that BB referred to himself as a "sub-human", though I can see it. All in all, well done. The only objections I have are to POV, and a few mechanical issues. Simply put, the POV in this one is... weird. I know it has to be, but even on re-read, I felt it was confusing. I couldn't tell at all times who was speaking to whom, and why. At times, Beast Boy seemed conscious of the fact that Raven was watching him, and at other times he didn't. It wasn't terribly jarring, but I thought it was worth a mention. Oh, and why does Beast Boy have a security camera in his room? By and large though, I really liked this one. Well done!

SxStrngSamurai13 2008-07-22 ch 1,	abuseWow...that was amazing. Really good job of getting in BB's head about Terra. Great imagery and I loved how things suddenly twisted at the end to show it was Raven reading his journal...awesome! Keep up the good work, can't wait to see more TT stuff from you!

The way that you're delving into each of the characters' depths with reflection through another is amazing, and we get to see sides of them that we never do, and maybe haven't even thought about. You're eloquent; your wording is astounding, and I find myself sometimes diving for my trusty dictionary. Jocular. A new word added to my vocabulary. Your narration style in this one is interesting. I like that you tried a present tense. No one ever writes with that, but when they do, it isn't usually done well. The only thing about this that I want to criticize are the lyrics. A songfic an idea that repulsed me when I heard of it. Interrupting beautifully placed and well thought out words with others from a song that you can't hear the tune to does not appeal to me. And the way that you react to that song may not be the same way someone else reacts. I'm sorry, I don't mean to thrust a personal rant on you. I just hate to see that an author as talented as you is writing a songfic, especially in a series that I'm so fond of. But other than that I did enjoy this piece. Beast Boy still not being over Terra is something I've considered, but haven't thought about too much. You've made him seem extremely mature and knowledgable here, and I /love/ seeing that in characters like Beast Boy and Starfire, who often get overlooked when it comes to things like that. :D
