I love how realistically, but still true to the characters, you write Anakin and Padmé. and I'm all for their friendship, just not their romance. and I'm glad Anakin decided to finally be a good father for the twins.

I really enjoyed your characterizations of Padme and Anikin, given enough time (and enough of your one-shots), I might actually start liking them. Maybe. They both seem to have grown up significantly in this piece, neither blaming the other, recognizing that they both bear part of the blame. Super job, my friend!!

I think that fanfic writers tend to not focus on a lot of the elements of the inevitable fall-out of the relationships they create - people have sex, fall in love (maybe), but never feel hurt or get divorced or have a realistic split.

This story does that, and does it really very well. This captures the messy aftermath of a breakup (without showing us the kids - a good choice) and shows both Padme and Anakin coming to terms with what they have done, and - essentially - growing up. Which is, of course, what the title of the piece is about.

Good stuff - I really like this.
