I was under the impression that I had left a review for this... Well, apparently not.

This story and 'Phone Calls From Nobody' are one of the few stories on this website that have made me bawl like a little baby. It didn't help that I was listening to Imogen Heap while reading BOTH stories. I like to think that this is what happened in the manga but behind the scenes. It's too good to *not* be canon.

It was the ending that killed me, when Sasuke threw the birthday card in the fire. It's really something I could see the jerk doing, probably trying to sever his bonds to Naruto. But it was when I saw the fanart I really started crying. The whole thing was so sad!! Man I'm a wuss.

Needless to say, I loved this fic. One of your best stories (though all of them are great).

This is such a touching story! Every "year" plastered a silly litle smile on my face, but the last one. It actually made my eyes swim with tears!! Oh, the feeling of how Sasuke had cherished Naruto's gifts over the years, despite his traumatic past, their tensed rivalrous relationship and his own stubborn soicism was simply... wnderful. It was such a shock, but somehow perfectly plausible, when he just threw it all away. But still. It seemed so harsh. I felt it was especially fitting that it was the first gift which had been carried with him even during his time at Orochimaru, which was now thrown into the fire. When I read that part with Sasuke and Itachi I really felt that it was too much. I would have snapped too if I were Sasuke. And the two years which Naruto wrote the little notes! It was so sad, and really seemed like him.

Overall, this story seemed like it could have been taken straight out of the manga, had Kishimoto had the same ingineous sense of symbolism as you do. Superb story!! This is definetely going into my community!

oh god...this was so sweet. love it. sad at the ending, i kinda really didn't get the ending. okay so he's with a team? who's team? but still i love it, this is my second time reading it and i just can't help but saying aw every time. should make another chp. or not, i still love it!

Wow I love this story. It was so happy and innocent at first, and it slowly slips into a depressing atmosphere... I knew it would kinda end up like this, but still I was so sad. I feel so sorry for Naruto and angry at Sasuke - but I expected that from him... your story is very moving. Good job on this one! Keep writing!

Beautiful. I loved your story. It was really fun to see what Naruto would get him next. It was sweet that Sasuke kept that picture for so long. Too bad he burnt it. Very in character. Was the Hawk feather in connection with the name of Sasuke's new team?

Looks like the opinions were mixed for that one... Personally, I still love it, so here it goes into my favs!

Say... Did you get my mail with the beta-read versions of your chapters? Since I got no answer from you nor saw any of said chapters on the site, I'm worried now..
