my favorite one-shot EVER.

There were a few typos so I’ll just get those out of the way since it’s just small stuff:

--"high treason, of which is" -- ‘of’ is unnecessary
--"his twin, whom at the moment was" – ‘who’ rather than ‘whom’ in this case since it’s the subject of ‘was’
--"her lower lips," ‘lip’
-– "quite obvious who Eirika was rooting" – here it should be 'whom' since in this case it's 'Eirika' that's the subject of ‘was rooting’
– "as he watched the knight and the princess kissed" – ‘kiss’
– "had challenged me to a duel and emerged triumphant"– ‘has’
– "and whom better" – "who"

Okay enough of that...

Ephraim’s pov was great, especially all the little humourous touches. His wryness was absolutely endearing. The duel was really well-paced, especially the latter half when Seth steps it up. The one-sentence paragraph ("Strength and pace.") really helps drive it home. And of course the ending is lovely, not only that Seth and Eirika get to marry (which of course makes me happy), but also Ephraim’s motivations for the duel. It was sweet and is so very in keeping with Ephraim’s character. That was a such a wonderful detail and having it at the end like that gives it real impact. It was great! The last line making reference to the S/E paired ending was a neat touch too.

What can I say? I’m helpless in the face of happy endings. ;) I enjoyed this story immensely. Another great Seth/Eirika piece! Bravo!

Magnificent, this little oneshot's going straight to my fav list.

I almost passed this one over, since I'm usually unimpressed with most of the material that comes out of the FE8 fandom. Boy am I glad I put my bias aside and gave it a read. I'm impressed, now I gotta go look through all your other work. I see you also write Halo and Warcraft. I'll be giving those a read also.

Aw, darn. I think FFN had problems with my review, since I tried submitting it and it got deleted accidentally! (Darn you, FFN!)

Anyway, my birthday isn't just yet (the 26th), but 24 is my favorite number, so everyone gets confused and assumes this is so because it's my birthday. (Oh well. 24 is way cooler than 26!) But early is better anyway, heehee. I love your Seth/Eirika 'fics.

[Actually, he could count it with a single finger.] Heehee!! Poor Ephraim!

I like how Seth acted in this one. Really calm and composed. And of course, he's probably nervous as hell, but is he going to let it show? No way! He knows he has to win this one. =D

Eirika is, of course, sweet as always, and Ephraim is epic. I liked his lines when he announced that since Seth had beaten him, he would give his permission for their marriage. Aww, talk about awesome!
