Excellent, excellent. Another Nathaniel Lives fanfic. I DO love those. On a side note, I might be wrong, but I think the pieces of Gladstone's staff should still be there. All that happened was that the spirits inside the staff burst out and obliterated all the surrounding areas. There should be some shards left, I think.
