In terms of the story (loved it, as always!) I think you should bring mother back in later on, keep to the traditional 'you've been doing WHAT?' thing if/when they find out. teehee. Could also bring in a tad more of the Doctor's hyperness, tho you really keyed in on the not-domestic part. (yay!) those are the most two dificult parts to balance out when writing him, but you're doin' great so far. I have problems with his mood swings, too... one of the reasons it took me so long to update chapter nine of my fic. it was a depressed-but-then-not-depressed kind of flip-thing.

I hope that at least made a little bit of sense. I confuse myself enough to have to ask these questions...

keep writin! oh and inspiration! Atlantis rocks. I've seen barely any fics for atlantis, (NOT the stargate kind!)and I think that'd be a great place to put your new character and the Doc... either that, or it would make a good fic to coauthor. :D
