OH, this had me cracking up-Kakashi has always been the general, the silver-tongued manipulator. Love this. True the interactions are a bit older than preschool age (particularly when Rin asks the all important 'why'), but it's very believable. (I think if you hadn't mentioned it at the start of the story, I probably wouldn't have noticed.)

Kakashi as a new student is just as I imagined-arrogant, haughty and far ahead of everyone else because of his family legacy.

I was hoping for more tension between Kakashi and Gai from the outset-at least on Gai's end, but it's a Kakashi/Rin story, so maybe that would be distracting.

I can see how he ended up graduating so early, and also how it left him unable to deal with people in a fluid manner. Manipulative, yes; friendly, no. And yet, you still manage to make him likable. That's an accomplishment. Thank you.

I liked this a lot. Kakashi is pretty challenging isn't he? This glimpse into his youth is very well done. Rin was hard for me too, because there is so little coverage of her in canon-just enough to create a lot of questions. Including what happened to her. I have a feeling you're going to show us. *grin* I like you're stuff, I'll be reading more and I'm glad to have 'found' your stories.

Great Work! I like how you wrote it in Rin's point of view. I appreciate how you maintain Kakashi's character. Most of the fanfics written by other authors about kakashi and Rin are so out of character. There are only few information about Rin in the manga but I think she's someone like the girl your story.

anyway, i kinda like the story, although not much at the part where kakashi is so stubborn about going up the rank. because in my opinion, during that time, the education system is different than naruto's time, obviously the advanced student is moved up automatically, if i'm not mistaken.
