Not a very good first meeting between Gertrude and Laura, but understandable that Gertrude is worried Laura will take her brother away from her. Little does Gertrude know that eventually she will live with Fenton and his family. So sweet that Fenton wanted to see Laura after he woke up from surgery. Thanks for the update and sharing your story with us.

When Fenton and his partner Gerry arrived at the standoff, my first thought was you were going to shoot Fenton, but than it was Gerry. So just as I think Fenton is safe, you shot him. You showed us that first impressions can be wrong. I would have sworn Dr. Scott was not a very caring father at all and instead he really was just taking his bad day out on his kids. Nice research on Marfan's syndrome. Love the relationship between Laura and Paul. So now we know where Joe get's his eye color. I'm glad that Laura was able to make Paul feel better, that the accident was not his fault because of a jinx. Nice cliffhanger with Fenton. We all know that Fenton and Laura will end up together, but if anything this will already show their love for each other, since not all women are willing to marry a man knowing they have such a dangerous line of work. Wonderful job as always. Thanks again for sharing your stories with us.
Cherylann Rivers 2008-08-23 ch 10,	abuseWhat?! How could you leave it like that?! It's bad enough that Fenton is probably in critical condition, but now Paul is REALLY sick- OMG! I KNEW you were going to go there- wah! :) I loved the conversation between Laura and Paul and their evident closeness. All of your details are wonderful, from Paul's sapphire blue eyes, which we'll later see in Joe, to Laura's fierce protective streak, as will be seen in Frank. This is such a sweet story (although you have me dying here with all of this action that you mix in between the growing relationships!) and I cannot wait to read more! Cheryl
Cherylann Rivers 2008-08-23 ch 9,	abuseWow! You defiintely made me see a different side of Laura's dad-- that was very nicely done. I'm glad that he could admit his own secret jealously to himself and that he was man enough to go to apologize to everyone... and he was pretty classy for not bringing any more grief into his patient's father's life. The two opening scenes where Laura and Fenton were worried about who was or was not calling and why made me smile, because that is SO how real life works. I have faith that things will work out, somehow. I hope that Gerry, and more importantly, Fenton, are not too badly injured. How sweet is it that Fenton already knows that he is in love with Laura?! Cherylann Rivers 2008-08-19 ch 8,	abuseYou scared me again-- I thought that you were going to 'off' Paul again in this chapter with your mention of how he hoped he'd feel better soon! :) It is so cute how Fenton is head over heels for Laura, and I like how Laura is direct about it-- they are simply wonderful together. What's up with her dad, though? Why is he so-- harsh? It's also great how Paul and Laura are so close, and I liked the mention again of how Paul's (LATER JOE"S) instincts are always dead on! Now-- let's see how Fenton manages to get in touch with laura without getting her dad mad! Cheryl

You have a wicked sense of humor which you somehow manage to insert into all of your writing-- I love it! I really am glad that Paul is okay. I really thought that you were going to do something to him there (although i don't totally trust that he's 100% fine). I like how assertive Laura was with Fenton when looking to find her brother, and how she took total control and was so strong. I also liked the connection that "when it comes to her brother, she just KNOWS" when something is wrong. Sounds a lot like a future Frank, huh?! Fenton is wonderful-- I like how he's unsure of himself (the part also about half his body being numb was funny) but how he is equally smitten with Laura and determined to get her. On to the next chapter! Cheryl

pandora jazz 2008-08-17 ch 8,	abuseThanks for two new chapters. I love how Laura 'knew' that Paul was in trouble. I'm glad that Paul and Grace are OK. I had to smile as Fenton rode behind Laura and than was sore after riding for the first time. Love does make you willing to try anything. It is to bad that Dr. Scott is so protective of his daughter, not giving Fenton a chance. But Paul is an awesome brother. I can see why Laura is a great mom, she knows what it feels like to have a wonderful sibling, also knows the loss of a mother and when a parent like her father doesn't listen to her. Laura is always willing to be there for her boys and hear what they have to say. Thanks for the updates.
