Normally, I am used to reading fics that are much longer in comparison to this one. But something about the tone in Steadfast is so completely alluring, that I felt that I had to reread it more than just once.

I love the way you've written Riff, and the way you've made Cain add on to Riff's character. I especially like the italicized portions where it's implied that they've exchanged words (or at least some sort of interaction has taken place). They were well-placed, and significantly contributed to the overall depth of the piece.

It's amazing, because I usually don't get all hyped up about one-shots. You've managed to do that - kudos to you!

That was very sweet. I really like your Riff voice and the gentle affection between him and Cain.

This was so adorable. I love these two, and you made me love them even more! Your writing is so pretty and flowy, but without being overwhelming. I love the line where Riff says Cain looks like an angel wrapped in his own wings; it's really pretty and paints a nice picture. If I listed everyting else I like, I'd be here a long time.
