Very good! Liked the father/son moments of John and Sam.

Cute story. The whole Young!Sam-gets-cornered-for-nefarious-purposes vein seems very prevalent in the Supernatural fandom, but it's still fun to read. ;) I loved this line in Ch. 2: **Dean took that moment to launch an offensive as the thirteen year old took off at a full run yelling over his shoulder,“Don’t kick his ** until I get back!”**

Great addition to the stories. Now I'm curious to know what happened to Sam before big brother and Dad came to the rescue. Hm

Love the new chapter, but you DEFINITELY need to write chapter 4, even though it's fairly obvious what the "**" said to Sam. We -- I -- need a little more closure.

Maybe one more confrontation with the evil 3? A hat trick of assholery, so to speak?

Oh my, those were pretty rough situations you inflicted upon the little family here.

Nonetheless, I have to say I truly liked John's parental skills in a way in this story. Sending them off to run a few miles, when the boys were driving him insane in the back of the car was an ingenius idea. Brilliant! And I'm pretty glad the troublemakers went off in the direction from where John and Sam had come eventually instead of encountering Dean jogging alongside the street as well. That could have gotten ugly (not that it didn't turn ugly later on in the second installment).

Also, having the boys spar while waiting for Bobby and doing research met my highest approval - and even more so for shedding his jacket and teaching Dean a lesson himself afterwards.

The family dynamics you portrayed were awesome and very convincing, Phx.

At least the baddies got what they had coming (probably still got away quite lightly, considering - come to think of it). I'm sure both Daddy Winchester and his oldest son would have loved to dish out some of Dean's suggestions for punishment.

Yet, I wonder what kept Bobby so long? Shouldn't he at least been there in the end?

For a moment, I really expected him to show up from behind in the second chapter when the three thugs had Sammy cornered.

I love reading your stories. The characters, good and bad are so strong and vivid. I love emotional John and his love though not easily displayed for his sons. Of course angry John/Dean are a beautiful thing to behold.

Okay, it only took me a day to find this update, so I'm improving! Will put it on alert in case you add any more chapters as would love to know the conversation that took place between Sam and Dean that got Sam so upset and Dean so worked up!
Guess John for all his attempts to get Sam to open up when he said he wanted a hair cut knew that if anyone was going to get through to his youngest it was his eldest but at least he was around if needed.
