i suggest using a different browser, my internet explorer quit on my (plus it was running very slow before-hand) so i started using Safari and it was so much faster and worked easily. I also recommend cleaning your hard drive (backing everything important up, wiping the drive and then restoring the data) it stops fragmented data from slowing you down. u just need to go to a computer place and ask them to defragment your hard drive

If Firefox is your problem, then why don't you try using another browser...like Internet Explorer or even better, Opera...

I'm looking forward to your stories so if this doesn't fix your problem, then why don't reinstall your windows.. (that's what I usually do when this happens to my PC= and believe me...it's very often also because my mum is always breaking something on it...)
