Possibly my favorite poem on all of
I've always wondered what would happen to Soren when Ike died and he was left alone. This is a sad poem for me. I really don't find much happiness in it. Maybe its the idea that Ike left such a big impression on him and there will be nothing he can do about it when he is gone.

I'm always surprised to find a decent poem around here. Only line I'm not a big fan of is the "And I'm in tears..." line, but the rest is good. I liked this especially: "I’ll watch it struggle against the harsh world/Just like you did."

Soren's dependency on Ike is a little (very) scary. But you've managed to put a slightly more optimistic spin on it than most writers, and that impresses me.

Good story...a bit sad...poor Soren,cursed to a life of near-immortality while his only friend is already gone...
