Ah, I really liked the theme for this chapter. Your first two paragraphs were excellently descriptive and I liked the little exchange between them when she called him on his ki BS. I did see two--three, technically--typos: in the first sentence of the third paragraph you have Kurama standing on "think grass," and toward the end Shizuru tells him that life "must be livedforwards"--the same lack of space also repeated in the quote at the bottom. This doesn't take away from the chapter or anything (it is a VERY good chapter), but I thought I'd point it out for you.

You know, this is like the one het pairing with Kurama that I can generally approve of without applying much scrutiny. The idea's a good one--we don't frequently see this pairing, or at least I don't--and this first installment was very well-written. I look forward to its continuation.
