What a wonderful chapter! As usual, it was worth the wait. I really love how mixed up and confused both Harry and Snape are.

Snape doesn't think he is capable of making friends, sustaining any form of relationship, or especially being a parent. The poor man is so stuck in the negative that he is truly sure that Harry will reject him. He can't understand why the boy persists in liking him, in thinking he is "nice." He also is still unwilling to admit he cares about Harry. I mean, he might get hurt!

And Harry is still confused as to how normal people really act. He is, however, figuring out things a little faster than Snape is. He figured out that even though Snape didn't beat him for punishment, making him feel that the man was disappointed with him hurt worse than a beating. He also recognises the caring behind the smoke and mirrors of Snape's snarkiness. Harry can see that a person who checks you over after you've overworked yourself at sports and who examines your nails before you go somewhere cares for you. After all the cruelty Harry has been through, a few insults and sarcasm will seem like nothing.

I can't wait to read about their visit to the Weasleys!

AND... please write a chapter where Snspe visits the Durselys. I can't wait to see how he deals with them...

Your Severus Snape is so completely...Snapeish. I love him. The way he looks at things, especially combined with your Harry's outlook has made me laugh more than I have in a long time while reading fan fiction. Thank you for sharing your story, and I look forward to reading whatever you have planned next.

Beautiful chapter. I liked all of Snape's internal arguing with himself. And Harry's confusion and conviction that Snape has punishments and rewards mixed up. It was really funny, the entire chapter. Well, sad of course as well that Snape can't just admit he might care for the boy. After all, he was plotting revenge on Wood for making Harry too sore. LOL Great chapter. I am actually Harry won't like the Weasleys too much so he can just be Snape's. LOL And I want Snape to just have Harry. Aw, I am sappy, eh? Thanks for a great chapter.
