im guessing Ren is in fact important, but judging by the condition he is in, they maybe condescend on him? i mean otherwise, he wouldnt be so malnutritioned. i want to say maybe hes like a sacrifice, but maybe not. maybe his suffering and pain is supposed to be honorable? maybe he used to be important but his rank somehow fell, so hes not exactly scrapped but still frowned upon.
but a lot of this wouldnt explain the frantic importance these people are showing now. is he a sacrifice? or possibly, he is looked down upon as an inferior being that will get them somewhere. Lyserg at least doesnt seem to know how important Ren is really suppose to be.
all in all, good to hear from you again, ima look forward to more, as usual

I think I'll stick to my original theory until I get more information. Ren is atoning for something, and now it seems possible that he's atoning for others as well. Some sort of a scapegoat or something.
Do you realize that you always keep me guessing? ha ha

I can't believe you're back! First of all, I'm sorry for not reviewing earlier but I didn't know you wrote a new story, ha.

I'm liking what I've read so far, and I do have my suspicions about Ren... I think he commited some sort of a "sin" in the eyes of other people and that's the way he atones for it. Im intrigued about Horo's depression as well and I would love to read about what happened to him. Good job and welcome back Lysha!
