Interesting concept, but it could be filled out more.
Still, I can't help but like it.
Hi, Rex!

I LOVED how you incorporated these two movies together. Pure genius. The ending was a little sad, but still...very good one-shot. It was a pleasent read. :)

Aww... I love crossovers. You fit the worlds of Toy Story and WALL-E together very well, I think. :3 I particularly liked it when Rex spoke to the gnome, and how he still misses Andy's other toys... I also liked the kind of bittersweet ending. :) Very good!

It's okay, Rex! "Toy rules" only apply to humans, not other synthetic things! You could have had a buddy all along, and you didn't even realize it!

I love that you had this idea, by the way; if Pixar can recall its past triumphs by throwing characters like Rex into their newer stuff as easter eggs, then by God, we should get to have some fun with their little game ourselves! I believe you might be suggesting at the end that that was the night Wall-E ended up leaving earth to be with EVE on the Axiom, am I correct? Another lost opportunity. Poor old Rex is two-for-two at this point...

Fantastic fic. Keep writing, your stories are delightful.

Aw. Kudos to making an intra-Pixar crossover AND injecting it with melancholy.

Lol. I love how you put a cameo part from the movie as a story!
Awesome! This was a good story! Keep it up.

I for one enjoyed myself. Nice eyes catching Rex in movie, and great way of doing a Toy Story and WALL-E crossover. I can only hope this isn't a oneshot.

As far as nitpicking goes, I think the pacing is a bit odd. It almost seems rushed. I would have liked to see you delve deeper into Rex's thoughts and describe the movie's striking locales in more detail. Anyway, great job regardless.

Have a nice day!

This was epically sweet. A great way to involve a background item into this movie. I can actually imagine this happening, though, which makes this story all the better. I really liked Toy Story as a child(Even though that neighbor kid scared the heck out of me), and I really loved Rex. I need to re-watch that movie sometime soon.

A beautiful vignette! You got me more emotionally engaged with Rex this time than I've ever been with him in either Toy Story movie! You've developed a more mature and caring side to his character that is very moving -- but I could still hear Wallace Shawn's voice as Rex spoke here! You kept Rex very well in character!

I still haven't seen Rex yet in WALL•E's truck yet in the movie, nor the traditional Pizza Planet truck that's supposed to be in it, too -- and I've seen the film 8 times in theatres so far! But after reading this story, I'll look real hard the next time!

Great work though!

Cute. :) It made me miss Buzz and Woody, though. Haha. I'm a total dork for those guys. But anyway. This was cute and well-written. Thanks for posting.
