Lara 3/1/10 . chapter 1 Another thing good job on your grade 100% is a wonderful mark |
Lara 3/1/10 . chapter 1 I couldn't understand where is boo radley in this story |
RL Seward 8/23/09 . chapter 1You have a good feel for the writing style of the story. |
 Anshuman 1/19/09 . chapter 1 Very nice!
I actually thought this was the last chapter as i had forgotten
to bring my book home, today in class i found out that this wasn't
the real ending although it seemed like it. |
Lexy 3/8/08 . chapter 1 Now that's what should of been the real ending of To Kill a Mockingbird. This was great! |
pinklettuceleaf 4/11/06 . chapter 1wow that's really good! Was that for a GCSE essay?
One thing though (sorry, I need to know this novel) but I;m in charge of making notes on Atticus' character, and he wouldn't have snapped at Scout like that _
but it's cool :D |
micartne 10/15/04 . chapter 1that was wonderful! really great. you should post some more stories like that. i had to read to kill a mockingbird over this summer for school. i dont think i would have picked it up off the shelf for a pleasure read, but im glad they assigned it because it was an excellent book. |
Carole 9/3/04 . chapter 1 Love this. It fits the story and the characters very well. Pretty impressive for a 10th grader (don't be annoyed...I'm 29). Next time I read the book, I might have to read this story right after! |
hmmm 2/14/04 . chapter 1 this ruined To Kill A Mockingbird, sorry |
DarkMark 1/3/04 . chapter 1Well, I liked this. Although I sure as heck can't see someone like Dolphus Raymond using the word "absurdity" in normal speech, the story presents an interesting twist: what if the jury knew he was innocent and had to vote him guilty to save his life? (A reverse of Harlan Ellison's "Daniel White For the Greater Good".) There should have been something about the juror Cunningham, as it was brought out in the novel that he thought Tom wasn't guilty and it took "a thunderbolt and another Cunningham" to change his mind. But I thought this one was well done. |
SophieGrace 7/27/03 . chapter 1oh wow. wonderful! since it's so good, I only have nitpicky things to say...I read To Kill a Mockingbird this year so I can directly compare. This is so much like TKAM; even the dialects and accents fit in perfectly. It deserved the %100 that it received.
The only things I can comment on (and it's not very important because you got a 100 on it ) is when Scout said things like "completely messed up my life" and "she would be completely against me talking to mr raymond" stood out from the rest of the text. I think it might be the word "completely" that kinda interrupted my !dreamlike! enjoyment of the fic but again it's nitpicking...
Also, at the end, there were two really good sentences but both had the same intent and feel so the impact would be greater if only one of them stayed... "Walking home that Saturday, I wondered what I'd ever do without my father, Atticus" THAT IS A BEAUTIFUL SENTENCE. I am such a sucker for that kind of stuff... and when I read it at the end of this story, it just felt perfect.
Ah, I think I took enough of your time T.T Thank you for writing this! I wish I did as well as you on my TKAM unit.
btw, thank you for reviewing for Scary Enough. It was very helpful and flattering ]

Abernathy 12/6/02 . chapter 1Okay, I just happened to stumble on this in . To Kill
a Mockingbird is one of my fave books of all time and I think this
is great... Never would've thought to do the final chap... You did this in
GRADE TEN? I know you re-wrote it a bit, but good work. Smart little teen. |
Alexandra I. Spears 4/26/02 . chapter 1Interesting so far...but one tiny niggling detail..."Alexandra" is not spelled with an i. :) Happened to pick up on that because that's my name and I hate when people spell it with an i.
Still, this is cool, I'll be keeping tabs on it! |
TesubCalle 2/22/02 . chapter 1Thank you all so much for your kind reviews! You sure know how to make a writer feel appreciated. |
