I've just read the answer of your question in Gamefacs.

In Japan, Koren hasn't got a name; he only goes by his title "Wizard of the Red Lorus" which is pronounced "Koren no Madoshi". The translators made him a name from it and added is complete title. (They did the same with Jagan who goes by the title of "Jagan no Hakushaku" or "Earl of the Evil Eye")

But perhaps you already learnt it ? Anyway I hope that I've been of some help, if this answer still interests you.

The more I read this fanfic the more I like it. I cannot now figure Koren's past in other way. Neither can I call him simply Koren, It's always Koren Carlan DerShinia.

I discovered Seiken Densetsu 3 few months ago and I took an immediate liking to this charismatic wizard.
