This is a really cute, well written fic and Im honestly surprised there arent more reviews on here. I love Blaise and Ginny, and you caught the characters so well.

This fic is brilliant!! I'm sorry--and surprised--you haven't gotten more reviews. I'm guessing that there isn't a big Blaise-Ginny following in the fandom? (post-HBP I mean) I just started looking for some fics with that ship, and I'm not having huge success. If you know any good ones, please let me know!

In any case, this fic is just beautiful. I love the setup--as soon as I saw the title, I knew it was going to be good, because that is exactly the attitude Blaise has towards Ginny in canon, I think--he hates her because he's supposed to, but he's kind of attracted to her and that makes him hate her all the more. Your first point, "she's too pretty for a blood-traitor," is straight out of canon, practically, isn't it?

More importantly, I love the dynamic you've created between them. Totally hostile, but in a way that both of them knows is not entirely legit. And everything out of Blaise's mouth is insulting, despite what we see as his inner thoughts--I think that's spot-on, too. He's so damned proud, he could never betray his attraction (except in that one telling, fateful moment that gets him hexed, lolol--love it!).

I liked your Ginny, too--pretty different from how I envision her, but I thought it was great you made her so talkative--that's what JKR is always saying she is, but we never really see in canon. In short, this is a marvelous, marvelous fic and has me inspired to try my own Blaise/Ginny fic!!

Favorite line: "...Maybe you were actually trying to off yourself, and I buggered it up. I dunno. You lot really do the stupidest things sometimes, so it’s difficult to tell."

Cute story. I'll admit that I am more of a Blaise/Hermione shipper but this was a nice and well written story. Maybe I will have to check out other stories of yours. :-) Keep up the great work with whatever stories you write.
