I think you've captured the mind of a person at the brink extraordinarily well. You bring up a lot of points on the nature of the soul that are very intriguing. I love your writing! >.< :D

i think that if someone read this without knowing you they would feel it necessary to put you in an insane asylum, or at least really good counseling. Despite that (or maybe because) that was really great. More like poetry then anything, and i lived what you did with the "bird feathers." i want to be able to write like you!

I figured it out! This line made me see it, "And then they came for me, Father, and our roles were reversed, yours and mine; now I am the jailer and you are the jailbird" I'm glad I got it before the end, I thought I wasn't going to. Now I feel stupid that I didn't get it before though. This story is really really good! I love the 'Who am I? I do not... part, that's really cool!

OMG Awesome. I love how you can tell he's slowly going insane. And the water/Vertisasum bit was awesome. But - the Nazgul? Dementors, right? nice last line especially because he both broke the vow and lost his soul. Oh. Would the word be "consternation"?
