Okay, so I'll level with you: it was TOTALLY Draco I saw! ;o) That's probably because I didn't even look at the pairing until I was halfway through the ficlet so right from the beginning I was seeing Draco stumbling through the desert because that's where my mind always goes (i.e. to Draco) unless it's pointed in a different direction from the start.

And I was digging it because all of a sudden I seem to be back on a nice little knock-Draco-around binge, if you will. I think it's Cold Comfort that did it to me - I'm sorry but Draco dying is just hot. Well, YOU probably wouldn't give him a hot death; you'd probably make it exceedingly undignified and disgusting just to piss me off.

Okay, back on topic: THIS FIC. So then when I'm about halfway through I flicked my eyes up and saw the Severus / Hermione pairing (which in retrospect I really should have KNOWN, I mean duh) so I was like, OH, okay, so it's Snape. And for a while that's who I saw. And then by the end, it was Draco again.

SORRY!!

I can't help myself. Although I've just started reading Twilight (set right here in WA yay!) and oh CRAP, Edward is hotter than Draco. NOW what do I do?

I'm seriously in a bind here.

But anyway, what an intense little fic. It's a really compelling notion, someone dead and sorta caught in an endless repeating loop due to unfinished business he apparently left behind (the business of being in love... Aw!)
