by the way that you got the guy saying "kid", i did think he was about 8 or something... perhapr you need to make it clear, like replace the sentence where the ossan calls luffy "a kid" to "a youn man - but a kid to him" or something...
that may work out better.

aw, this was adorable with the old man not knowing he was Monkey D Luffy while the audience just knows it from the characterization. I really liked how Luffy keeps on correcting the rumors about his crew (i.e. the whole monster thing). Wonderful job.

I like it! Though I was having a good laugh at how the bartender couldn't recognize Luffy. I especially liked the imagery you put into Luffy's physical appearance. It really brought his character out all the more. Overall, I loved the whole futuristic feel of the story, how Luffy and Zoro haven't change much over who knows how long. Great job!
