JaneDoh0 12/16/12 . chapter 1This is absolutely brilliant. You capture the tragedy of Severus's life and manipulations central to Albus in a really tightly written one shot. |
Lila Daffenger 12/8/12 . chapter 1D: DDD: Well, this is a fine and dandy fic that will perfectly complement an after-lunch of soft music and lazing in the wintersun. I would recommend, as a gastronomical accompaniment, those small citrus cakes that can fit in the palm of our hand. Maybe add a measure of honey, so that annoying breadcrumbs won't fall to your keyboard, depriving you of the use of the h, the e, the l or the p; which would be a rather bad thing, as you will be needing those letters quite soon. The especially prudent will have added a dose of cyanide to the citrus cake, to help with the mortal pains this fic can cause in the reader's little heart. |
Raeshi 9/5/10 . chapter 1Poor Severus, he never really had a chance. Everyone uses him. I like how you portrayed Dumbledore. Not that I hate him or anything but you can kind of see it in the way he treats Severus. How he uses him for his purposes. I guess this pairing doesn't have much of a following by the amount of reviews you have. Surprising, since this is a good story. |
BLAHBLAHBLAH92831 1/7/10 . chapter 1LOVE THIS. DUMBLES, YOU'RE AN ASS HOLE. |
Librasmile 7/10/09 . chapter 1 I was scanning through the site and saw this story only had 5 reviews! Scandalous! (Although it makes me feel better since I only got 4 for my Albus-Severus story For the Price of My Familiar. I mean if YOU only got 5, that's not necessarily a bad sign because you're an excellent writer.) I loved this story when I read it. I think you have a delicate touch with character development and plot. I even like the unresolved ending although it drives me crazy and makes me want to kill Dumbledore all over again. I love the way you make use of the unspoken realities in Severus and Albus' relationship and how the use of power affects it. Most of all I like the way you use this short story to create the sense of a fully realized world. Most authors can't do that in a one-shot. Well done. |
yggdrasilxxx 5/20/09 . chapter 1I like how the machiavellian plots of Dumbledore are underlined in each part of the story, I don't think it's something that appears usually |
Amarinta 12/29/08 . chapter 1This is absolutely one of the best fiction about Snape i've ever read. And absolutely the most beautiful fanfiction about Snape of all. I love your other fanfiction, but this is so full of a desperate need for love i almost cried. I'd like to translate it in Italian and put it on an Italian Slash Fanfiction on Harry Potter, if you don't mind. I'll wait for your answer Bye |
SillyLesbianPanda 12/19/08 . chapter 1Wow... this surprised me. Poetic, but not in a corny or sappy way. Nicely done. |
excessivelyperky 8/11/08 . chapter 1After all, Severus has never quite been loved before. -Or is now. Or ever. He is but a game-piece, and dies knowing it. What a waste of a life, and a soul. And of the best character in canon, too. |
illicitgrace 8/10/08 . chapter 1 Wow! So very interesting. What a different potrayl of Severus. And a very good dipiction of Albus - weaving in what we know of his personality in the post DH world. So good to see fic from you again! |
