Really, really well done and touching. The imagery is so vivid, especially the parts where he's watching his mother prepare the onion. I got a strange sensation in these sequences of really bright light and small, but intense areas of color. Again, very well done.

I read a grief book that the funeral home gave me when my dad died, and it said that the stages of grief is like peeling an onion. This reminds me of that.

House/Chase should be dumped in the middle of the Atlantic, but this was really nice. House's mother seems to be the only person he really cares about, and you killed her! *stabs*

Beautiful. I love how you stirred House's story of the onion and his mom, her tears, his tears and Chase's, and mixed in a dollop of Indiana Jones...to tell this story. It all makes sense, paints a sad, evocative portrait. A well crafted effort.

Very nice story! It seemed in character for everyone--House, Chase, Wilson, and even John House.
